India's FMCG supply chain runs on Tally — so we read Tally

Walk into any authorised FMCG stockist's godown in Madurai and look behind the counter. There's a PC running Tally Prime, billing kiranas all day. That single machine holds the prices, the stock levels, the HSN codes, and the GST for everything in the godown.

The data already exists

The hard part of building a grocery catalogue — knowing what's in stock, at what price, with what tax — is already solved inside the stockist's billing software. They have to keep it accurate, because they bill real shops with it every day. We don't need to recreate that. We need to read it.

Why reading beats building

The alternative — building warehouses, hiring staff to catalogue products, holding inventory — is exactly what makes serving Tier-2 expensive. VeBy skips all of it. The connector reads the stockist's existing billing data and surfaces it to consumers. No warehouse, no inventory, no dark store. No Inventory. Only Information.

The stockist changes nothing

The connector is passive. The stockist keeps billing in Tally exactly as before — no new software, no changed process. VeBy orders arrive as ordinary billing entries, the same way a kirana order does. Zero behaviour change isn't a nice-to-have; it's why stockists say yes.

From one machine to a city's catalogue

One stockist's Tally is one godown's worth of live data. Connect the association's members and those individual feeds become a city-wide catalogue — live prices, live stock, straight from the source. The supply chain was already digital. We just gave it a way to talk to the consumer.
